Shit happens…

Welp, it’s been over a year since my first – and last – post. Things came up, and I didn’t have enough time to start building this venture. But it’s a new-ish year and I’m hoping to get this ball rolling. Thanks to everyone who’s been patient with me while I get my shit figured out.

Anyway, Here’s a photo of me at The Satanic Temple when my bestie and I went to Salem, MA last fall.

Check back soon for a post on my trip to Maryland Deathfest XVII later this month!

Welcome to Death Metal Domestics

My name is Audrey – I’m a single, female, millennial homeowner. I love beer, tacos, and Death Metal.

It’s been one year since I bought my first home, a three bedroom, two bathroom condominium outside of Washington, DC, just a few months before my thirtieth birthday. This was the first step of a five-year-plan I set for myself: buy myself a small home, live in it for five years, then sell it to buy a larger townhome. It’s a pretty straight forward plan.

Buying a home as a millennial can seem like an impossible goal, especially as a single, female millennial with student loan debt and a modest income; BUT it is NOT impossible! It will take sacrifices, hard work, and even help from others, but it can be done!

To celebrate the one-year anniversary of buying my condo, I’ve decided to start a home & lifestyle blog to share my home-owning journey with everyone, and to hopefully encourage other young adults – especially other young, single women – to take that step to buy their own home!

Death Metal Domestics will be focused on tips for budgeting, saving, home buying & owning, decorating, DIY projects, cleaning & organizing tips, product reviews, and so much more!

I am so excited to share my experience with you all!

Hail Satan
– Audrey
